Gemmotherapy uses the buds and young shoots of trees and shrubs prepared, in their fresh state, by direct maceration in a mixture of water, alcohol and glycerine. 

The gemmotherapy extract is a real concentrate of information; it contains all the genius of the tree from which the bud comes. 

Thus, the lime tree (Tilia tomentosa) glycerine macerate has the sedative properties of the flowers but also the depurative and diuretic virtues of the sapwood. The same applies to hawthorn bud (Crataegus oxyacantha) which has the properties of the fruit (action on the heart muscle) and the flower (action on the heart rhythm). 

Gemmotherapy uses the totality of the plant in its embryonic form. It is a true "global cellular energy phytotherapy".
